“Come Wander With Me” with McKenzie Eckels

Most of the models I work with are also talented actresses and singers- McKenzie Eckels absolutely excels at these (as well as being an amazing drawer and painter).  This collaboration was made as a tribute to her favorite Twilight Zone episode, “Come Wander With Me”.  The AMAZING singing is all McKenzie.  Let us know what you think!

The Making of Road Rage with Kaila Stone

Let me tell you how I did rear projection in this indie film project with model Kaila Stone and stylist/ mua Lux Tango, shot in my studio in Tempe Arizona! We took huge influence from James Bond, Danger Diabolik and the amazing Danger 5 tv show.

New Skillshare class up! Create Motion Comics With Adobe Character Animator

IMG_3830

Now on my Skillshare – Create Motion Comics Pt. 2!  In this section, we’ll be using Adobe Character Animator to animate the faces and mouths of comic characters using motion capture technology.  This gives us actual fully animated talking heads with physics like swinging hair and blinking eyes, all controlled by our own facial movements and lip synced sounds.

We’ll also cover designing our Character Animator puppets in Photoshop and bringing the scene into After Effects!

If you haven’t seen Pt. 1 of “Creating Motion Comics” I highly encourage you to check it out as it establishes what motion comics are, why they are a great animation alternative, and how to put together frame animation in Photoshop.

“Scream Queens” – Alive and Animated

Happy Halloween!  My photo series “Scream Queens” continues its mutation into the multimedia world with this new video, which animates photos alongside recent spooky video work and new cartoon animations I made for this set.

I also have a couple sets left of the Viewmasters I created last year of the series- featuring models like Glass Olive, Anastasia Arteyeva, and Mosh.  They are available at my Etsy and are fun for the whole (adult) family!

GO – new video art featuring Glass Olive

Filmed with my old buddy Glass Olive in her home state of Utah in July.  Everything is done on my GoPro Hero Black 4.  The soundtrack is different from recent video art pieces- not a straight composition as I normally make, but a warped soundscape collage kind of thing.  The next few video art pieces I have in the pipeline have a similar aesthetic, warped soundscape collages and music videos for artists other than myself.

Kacie Marie

Kacie Marie

There are a few models that I have had on my wishlist for literally years, and one of those is NYC singer/ actress/ model Kacie Marie.  We had been sending emails back and forth for perhaps 3 years before we actually connected for a May 2015 shoot.  We have the mutual common ground of love of b-movie vibes, and she has always exuded a particular vibe that references sexiness with innocence- what people sometimes call the “retro Playboy vibe.”  You know, before it got trashy and silicone.  If you enjoy any of this work I encourage you to like it and share it!  For more photoworks goodness peruse my Etsy shop, follow on tumblr and twitter and instagram, and rummage around on my full site.

Worm Face and How It Got Made

I recently had to re-do a piece from my Scream Queens series and took the opportunity to film it for your viewing pleasure!
