Chiaroscuro In Photographic Composition

These images were shot in my backard with model Genevieve Liberte.  The lighting came from a Neewer 160 LED light with an umbrella shoved over it.  The first image is almost a textbook example of what is frequently referred to as “Rembrandt lighting,” or “chiaroscuro,” or in layman’s terms, a lot of darkness all around.

If you enjoy any of this work I encourage you to like it and share it!  For more photoworks goodness peruse my Etsy shop, follow on tumblr and twitter and instagram, and rummage around on my full site.
